About the City of Huntington Woods
Historical Huntington Woods, situated south of 11 Mile Rd, North of 10 Mile Rd and east and west between Coolidge Hwy & Woodward Ave. Nicknamed the “City of Homes” Huntington Woods was previously named one of the best suburbs to live in by Market Watch from DowJones. The 1.5 square mile city encomposses two of the areas largest attractions, the Detroit Zoo & Rackham Golf Course. When the now Donald Ross designed Rackham Golf Course was first established in 1924 it was believed to be the first public 18-hole golf course in Michigan.
Huntington Woods is home to some of the most architecturally significant homes, many of which are apart of the Historic District founded in 2004. Huntington Woods residences attend the Berkley Public School District.
